The Secret Life of the Resort

House Here The Resort began its life as the San Vincent School in 1848. Built as a one room school house in the turn of the century style, the San Vincent School had something like 20 pupils, probally of mixed ages and educational levels.

The school was reportedly closed due to incidents of molestation in the 1920s.

The house was used as a daycare and as a community meeting hall.

Sometime in the 1970s the house was owned by a small computer company. This company, apparently comprised of a woman and two men, vanished when one of the men shot the wife of the other. Allegations that the different colored carpet in one of the downstairs rooms was a result of this shooting have never been confirmed.

In the mid 80s, the house was owned by a couple with a teenaged daughter. This daughter died when she lost control of her car on a twisty mountain road coming up to the house.

In the following years, the house was the home of Richard Bandler, and became the birthplace of NLP -- Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

In the years from 1990 to 1992, a mixed group of SC students lived in the house. They became convinced that the house harbored ill spirits -- so much so that several people moved out. One eyewitness reported finding numerous large beetles twitching on the downstairs bedroom floor.

In late Summer of 1992, the Resort was born. The evil spirits were driven out by the Holy Trinity of Spirits: Rum, Vodka, and Gin!
